Jean Silva has addressed his despicable actions following his crushing defeat to Diego Lopes at Noche UFC.
Lopes vs. Silva headlined the third instalment of Noche UFC last weekend.
Silva had success in the first round, tagging Lopes - seemingly wobbling his opponent with some heavy strikes.
But the Brazilian-born Mexican star fired back in the second round and completely changed the course of the fight after landing a spinning elbow.
Lopes threw a series of hammerfists before the referee stopped the contest.
Emotions were running high following the conclusion of the featherweight bout.
Lopes exchanged words with Silva's camp as he went back-and-forth with his rival's coaches.
Silva then jumped to his feet and punched the back of Lopes' head in a shocking moment as fans urged Dana White to cut him from the roster.

In his post-fight press conference, the 30-year-old told reporters: "I’m surprised he did this, too. I felt the punch in the back of my head. I’m turning like, 'Did Jean punch me in the back of my head?'
"I didn’t understand why. It’s OK. This is maybe the emotion of this time, because the guy is a little bit angry because he lost the fight. But it’s OK. I feel good now. This is my moment... I’m not going to pay that price for that victory."

He also touched on The Fighting Nerds team, with Caio Borralho and Maurício Ruffy losing their fights at UFC Paris.
"Unfortunately, yesterday the emotion got the better of me. I was seeing well in the second round, but I ended up rushing in with everything," said the 28-year-old Brazilian.
"One thing you guys were right about: The Fighting Nerds lost three in a row. So the three of us must be making similar mistakes.
"So for sure, me, Caio and Ruffy will have a meeting. We'll figure this out and improve. Whether people like it or not, I'm sorry. But we'll be back."
Silva's defeat to Lopes is his first UFC loss of his career, having won five straight fights inside the famed Octagon after beating Kevin Vallejos on Dana White's Contender Series.
As for Lopes, he returns to the win column following his UFC title defeat to Alexander Volkanovski.
