A boxing press conference descended into chaos after YouTuber Alex Stein threw hotdogs at his opponent, TikTok star Mo Deen.

Stein and Deen were set to battle it out inside the ring at Misfits Boxing 008 but the YouTube star’s ill-timed joke has led to the bout being called off.

Stein, who was wearing a blue suit and sunglasses accused Deen of liking football rather than baseball.

He then said: “Here in America our favorite pastime is baseball.”

Stein then said he’d brought Deen a present that would help him to like baseball. You can watch the footage below.

The YouTuber said: “I know you love hot dogs so,” before throwing a bucket filled with hotdogs towards his opponent.

A furious Deen then got out of his chair and onto the table in a bid to charge towards Stein, who continued to taunt him whilst holding a microphone in his hand.

Stein then said to Deen, who is believed to be a Muslim: “You love pork, right.”

According to The Sun, Stein told the publication that the whole incident was a joke and that the hotdogs were actually made from turkey meat instead of pork.

He added that he’s mates with Deen and even contacted his management prior to the stunt, he also stated that he is not Islamophobic and is hoping the event could still go ahead.

Fans were quick to react on social media.

One said: “That's no way to treat a fellow human, he should be banned.”

Another tweeted: “That's very disrespectful..”

A third fan added: “Misfits really making boxing a joke.”

Recently, the co-president of Misfits Boxing, Mams Taylor said the event ‘would push the boundaries’ and was keen to bring ‘fresh and exciting ideas’ to the boxing platform.

He said: “We were already thrilled to be taking Misfits to Nashville, but to do so with an event as special as this means even more. Roll on July 22!”
