Floyd Mayweather Trolls Conor McGregor With Brutal Instagram Post

Floyd Mayweather has joined in with the trolling of Conor McGregor following his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

Boxing royalty Mayweather took to social media days after the event to post a picture of McGregor, except this wasn't just any old normal photograph.

No, instead Mayweather (most likely one of his team) photoshopped the image to make it look like McGregor had broken his ankle.

In the picture, the Irishman is suited up while sitting in a chair, but if you look down at his left leg then you'll see his ankle bending backwards - just like it was after he suffered his devastating injury at UFC 264.

The caption read: "Y'all got it twisted! I like how his shoes fit. Now, do the stanky leg."

The post is in clear reference to McGregor's horrific tibia snap which brought a premature end to his trilogy bout with long-time rival Poirier.

UFC megastar McGregor is expected to be out until 2022 with Dana White and Co officially putting him on a lengthy medical suspension.

Unsurprisingly, this isn't the only time Mayweather has had a pop at McGregor following his defeat.

Ahead of the UFC 264 event headlined by McGregor, 44-year-old Mayweather placed a $50,000 bet that the Irishman would lose - and it ended up paying off.

"Dustin Poirier, Thanks for getting me paid!" Mayweather said in a social media post which showed off his winning betting slip of $85,714.30.

Poirier immediately replied: "I got you champ!"

Mayweather and McGregor have a long-running rivalry which goes back years.

With both arguably being the biggest cash cows within their respective sports, it was only a matter of time before the two locked horns inside a ring or steel cage.

And when it was announced that they'd signed to box each other in August of 2017, the trash-talking between the pair really ramped up.

From the second their world tour kicked off, the rivals wasted no time in trading verbal blows - most of them being below-the-belt.

Their hatred of one another meant that when the bout itself did finally arrive, it shattered records and is currently the highest grossing and most-watched pay-per-view event of all-time.

Since then, the two combat legends have always utilisede whatever opportunity is presented to them to have a cheeky dig at their bitter rival.

This time, given the circumstances behind McGregor's defeat, it was Mayweather's turn to fire shots.
