Tyson Fury has thrown his support behind Mike Tyson, insisting he'd pay his hard-earned cash to get punched by the legendary boxer.

The Gypsy King's defence of Iron Mike comes after he was caught on camera raining down fists on a bloke while on a plane.

It's understood the Tyson's punching bag kept on bothering him despite being asked multiple times to go away.

The bloke ended up paying the price, walking away from the incident bloodied and bruised after copping multiple blows to the head from The Baddest Man on The Planet.

And according to the current heavyweight champion of the world, who is actually named after Tyson, Iron Mike's actions were justified.

"Mike Tyson is a real O.G. and you can't mess with Mike because you don't know what he's going to do," Fury told Piers Morgan on TalkTV.

"The fun police will be on Mike to get cancelled but how long can you prod a lion with a stick? He's not the man you want to prod.

"If he's man enough to prod Mike Tyson, touch him and abuse him, then man up and take a punch in the face.

"He should be paying Mike. Now he can say he's been punched in the face by a legend. I'd pay for that myself."

While you'd assume that Tyson would be condemned for completely losing it, it seems he has received plenty of support from his followers.

A number of big-name figures in the combat sports world leapt to his defence - UFC commentator Joe Rogan being one of them.

"It's real simple: That dude was a douchebag," Rogan told YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul on his podcast.

"He was annoying one of the baddest motherf**kers that's ever walked the face of the Earth.

"It's so dumb. It's not even kicking a beehive. It's like smashing - it's head-butting a beehive."

Paul also chimed in.

"I can relate to this because when you take a selfie with someone, that's going to be the end of our interaction," he added.

"Maybe if I'm interested in the conversation ill continue, but if we're sitting next to each other on a plane and it's clear I'm not into the conversation - stop.

"The fact that this guy was making videos and being obnoxious and then got to the point of talking s***, well, play stupid games, win stupid prizes."

But the response which perhaps garnered the most attention came from UFC president Dana White, who simply re-shared an old viral clip of him being booted out of his airplane seat when Tyson demanded he gave it up.

"Hey dummies, for future reference, this is how you stay alive when bumping into Mike Tyson on an airplane," White joked in the caption.
