Geordie Shore's very own Aaron Chalmers has signed his first pro boxing deal.
The reality TV star has signed with promotional company Boxxer, meaning his bouts will be aired on Sky Sports.
Chalmers made headlines a few years back when he announced his bold plans to become a professional mixed martial artist following his stint on the MTV show Geordie Shore.
He went on to impress, boasting a record of five win and two losses inside the steel cage.
Now he's ready for a new challenge.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time in MMA but I always knew that boxing was where I wanted to be," Chalmers said.
"Now I've got the chance to fulfil that dream and over the next few years I'm going to give it my all."
Chalmers is clearly taking it very seriously too, acquiring the services of respected boxing coach Adam Booth to help train him ahead of his debut.
"Millions of people know Aaron Chalmers as a television star and professional MMA fighter," Boxxer CEO Benjamin Shalom said.
"But he's very serious about boxing and I've witnessed his dedication over the past twelve months.
"Adam Booth is one of the most accomplished trainers out there, so I'm looking forward to some exciting fights and seeing how far he can go."
34-year-old Chalmers has fought for British promotion BAMMA before eventually signing with Bellator.
He last fought in early 2020 and has headlined a few sell-out MMA events in his hometown of Newcastle.
