Hafthor Bjornsson had a complete and utter meltdown during his pre-fight press conference with Eddie Hall.

Tensions were already threatening to boil over throughout the press conference with a number of pleasantries being exchanged from across the table.

But tempers well and truly flared when Hall mentioned Thor's mother, who was present at the event.

"Let's f**king go right now," Hall said.

"Let's step up and do it. You want to go now? Because I don't give a f**k about the money."

The two bitter Strongman rivals then leapt up out of their seats as things threatened to turn nasty.

As the two towering men went nose-to-nose, a woman - now known to be Thor's mother - appeared to shout across them, seemingly urging them to stop bickering.

The duo were eventually separated and the tense situation looked like it had been defused, until Hall mentioned his rival's mother.

"Quieten your mum down as well," he said.

Thor took exception to the comment and completely lost it at his opponent.

"Don't ever f**king talk about my mother, you f**king a*******," Thor yelled.

The Icelandic man mountain then tried to get his hands on Hall before eventually throwing a bottle in his direction.

In the meantime, Hall calmly sat back in his chair with a smirk on his face.

Thor then appeared to storm off in a fit of rage, shouting at Hall from across the room while his entourage held him back.

Realising that his opponent wouldn't be returning, Hall then grabbed the microphone and said: "I think this interview is over because Thor can't control himself. See you Saturday."

The entire commotion made for pretty intense viewing, with Hall walking away having arguably won the mental warfare side of the battle.

The two will, however, finally get to lock horns inside the ring this weekend in a bout which is being described as 'The Heaviest Boxing Match In History'.

And with both men weighing in at over 600 pounds combined, they really are living up to that strap line.
