Britney Spears once claimed to have beaten Usain Bolt's world record in a post which went crazy viral.
Spears, 43, is one of the biggest pop stars in history with over 150 million records sold worldwide. But back in 2020 she took to social media to share what appeared to be a newly developed talent.
Incredibly, the 'Toxic' singer claimed that she had knocked Bolt, the fastest man alive, off his perch.

Bolt holds the record for the fastest time over 100 metres, clocking in at 9.58 seconds at the 2009 World Athletics Championships.
However, five years ago, Spears claimed that she had beaten Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medalist, and ran the distance in 5.97 seconds.

"Ran my first 5!!!! Getting over your fear of pushing it in the beginning is key... Once I did that I hit 5!!!!! Usually I run 6 or 7... My first try was 9 .... and now I did it whoop !!!!! 100 meter dash," Spears wrote, accompanied by a winking face.

Spears then proceeded to clarify that she was only joking about shaving nearly four seconds off the world record 100m time, writing: "PS …. obviously I was joking about running the 100 meter dash in 5.97 seconds …. the world record is held by Usain Bolt which is 9.58 seconds,"
However she did then add, "But you better believe I'm coming for the world record."
In recent times, the eight-time Grammy winner has hit headlines after refuting claims made by her ex husband Kevin Federline in his new book 'You Thought You Knew', where he details his marriage to Spears and the custody battle over their two sons.
In one of the most extraordinary claims, serialised by the New York Times, Federline alleged that their sons “would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep – ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ – with a knife in her hand. Then she’d turn around and pad off without explanation.”

He also claimed that "his situation with Britney feels like it’s racing toward something irreversible".
Spears, who was freed a conservatorship where he father controlled her for 13 years, responded with a statement where she said that "the constant gaslighting from my ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting".
Expressing regret over her distance relationship with her sons, she added that she has been living a “sacred and private life” since 2021.
