A 3D simulation has shown what would happen if Usain Bolt raced a marathon runner over 600 metres - and the results are fascinating.
Bolt holds the world records in 100 and 200 metres, which were both set at the 2009 World Athletics Championships.
He started his career as a sprint and middle-distance runner, winning a silver medal in the 4x400m relay at the 2002 World Junior Championships in Kingston, Jamaica.

He set his personal best time over 400 metres in 2007 - a time of 45.28.
The time would not rival the world record over that distance of 43.03, set by South Africa's Wayde van Niekerk - but interestingly would have seen him progress from one of the preliminary heats at Paris 2024.
YouTube account It's Fast NiQ has pitted Bolt up against Kenyan marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, who himself holds a stunning world record.
In Vienna, Austria in 2019, Kipchoge became the first human in history to run a marathon of 42.195km in under two hours.
The 3D simulation between the pair covers a host of different distances, concluding with a 600 metre run.

Unsurprisingly, Bolt comfortably defeats the Kenyan over 100, 200 and 400 metres - but the result of the 600-metre race is far more surprising.
While the Jamaican again comfortably leads out of the blocks and up to the halfway point, Kipchoge begins to catch him up as the pair reach 400 metres.
Kipchoge is around 30 metres behind Bolt as they enter the back straight, but then reels him in to the point where it genuinely appears he may win.
But Bolt finds a late second wind over the last 10 metres to keep his rival at bay and set a time of 1:15.00, just 1.28 seconds ahead of Kipchoge.
The channel reveals that, in order to calculate the Kenyan's pace, they worked out how fast he would go over 600 metres if he was running 1500-metre pace before subtracting six to nine seconds for a sprint at the end.

For Bolt, they added between 17-20 seconds for the step up to 600 metres from the Jamaican's personal best 400-metre run.
The eight-time Olympic gold medalist did once compete in an 800-metre race in 2021, an 'exhibition' run in Jamaica.
The unofficial time was recorded as 2:40, with Bolt saying he 'thought it would be easier' despite doing significant amounts of cardio training in preparation.
