Sabastian Sawe's freakish world record marathon time has blown people's minds - and one stat in particular sums up just how rapid the Kenyan was.
Sawe obliterated the previous record in London on Sunday, becoming the first athlete to run a marathon under two hours in race conditions.
In just his first fifth career marathon, Sawe, who was a pacemaker at the Seville half marathon back in 2022, clocked in at an insane, record-breaking time of 1:59:30 to win the race.
Previously, the world record time for a marathon was 2:00:35, achieved by the late Kelvin Kiptum.

But fueled by bread and honey, Sawe, who had been training by running 150 miles per week, made history when he crossed the finishing line at the Mall after 26.2 miles.
Eliud Kipchoge finished under two hours in 2019 but his record was unofficial as it was not in official competition and there were rotating pacemakers used.
Social media has been buzzing with reaction to Sawe's amazing feat but many people have understandably been stunned by how quickly the 31-year-old ran.
But heads have been spinning even more after journalist @tommyr345 pointed out that if you completed the London marathon course at top speed on a Lime scooter, which can travel up to 12.5mph - you would still be a mile behind Sawe on foot.
He wrote: "In London hireable Lime scooters top out at 12.5 mph. That means that if you rode one round the London marathon course at top speed, never braking or backing off, by the time Sawe had finished you'd be more than a mile behind him. Absolute madness - as someone pointed out!"

Sawe ran the first 5km in 14 minutes and maintained that lightning quick pace for the full course. His 10km time came in at 28 minutes and he ran two sub 60 minute half marathons to experience the biggest win of his career and pocket a significant bonus.
After he won, Sawe celebrated holding up an Adidas trainer with his world record time written on it. Sawe, along with four of the top five finishers in the men's category sported the Adios Pro Evo 3 shoes,
Weighing at just 97 grams and with foam and a carbon plate, the trainers have been described as "super shoes" .
Those wanting to get their hands on the world-record winning trainers can do so on April 30 when they are available to order.
