Piers Morgan has spoken out California governor hopeful Betty Yee suggested that a gender-neutral Olympic Games should be considered.
After the success of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, fans are already looking ahead to the next Olympics, set to be held in Los Angeles in the summer of 2028.
Although the Games are still nearly three years away, planning is already underway about the logistics of hosting the Games, with US President Donald Trump recently suggesting he could move to event to another city.
Following discussions regarding gender eligibility during the 2024 Games, one Democratic politician has suggested that a gender-neutral Olympics could be the way forward.
While speaking about the idea on an episode of Piers Morgan uncensored, the British journalist offered his view on the idea, having previously spoken out about transgender athletes in sport.

"If they have been through a physical transition, then I do believe that they should be able to participate with other female athletes," she said.
With Yee hoping to be governor of California when its largest city hosts the Games in 2028, Morgan later asked if she would support the Olympic Games becoming a gender neutral event.
"I want to be sure that everybody has the ability to compete," she reiterated. "I don't think we're going to get that tomorrow, but I think it's a conversation worth having.
"We need to understand what the attributes are of athletes across the spectrum."
Her comments came after Yee accepted that biological men have an advantage over biological women in some sports, but suggested that track and field could be one, prompting outrage from Morgan.
"Have you seen the times that women and men record in the Olympics for all track and field events? Have you watched Usain Bolt when he smashed the world record for the 100m?" asked the British journalist.
"You think women could run against Usain Bolt in his peak and that would be fair?"
As it stands, the men's world record in the 100m sprint, the 9.58 second finish held by Bolt, is nearly a second faster than the women's record of 10.49 seconds set by Florence Griffith Joyner in 1988.
