Arsenal Register Their Interest in Jarrod Bowen After Dynamite Season

Arsenal have reportedly registered their interest in West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen.

The 25-year-old was in scintillating form for the Hammers last season, netting 18 goals alongside 13 assists in all competitions for the Irons. Bowen was rewarded with his England debut in the Nations league this summer, and will be looking to secure his spot on the plane to Qatar this winter.

Arsenal have been linked to an increasing number of wingers in the last few days, varying from Leeds starlet Raphinha to PSV’s Cody Gakpo.

The Hammers’ end-product machine is the most recent addition to the growing list of talented wingers linked with a move to the Emirates. 'The Beautiful Game Podcast' have reported Arsenal's interest in Bowen, claiming Arsenal have opened talks with the winger's representatives.

All indications suggest that not only is Mikel Arteta looking to add star quality to his starting XI, but look to form a complete squad of top class talent capable of competing on multiple fronts.

A clear transfer strategy seems to have been adopted in accordance with this, targeting Premier League stars entering the prime of their careers - Gabriel Jesus, Youri Tielemans, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Raphinha and now Jarrod Bowen. Of course, the Gunners won’t go on to sign all of these players, however, there is a clear method to the madness that is often associated with Summer windows at London Colney.

Even if a deal were to be negotiated for the Irons man, the deal would stretch the Gunners’ transfer war-chest thin. The Hammers are in a strong position having secured European football while being in a healthy position financially and with their dynamic wide-man tied down until 2025.

Whether a deal, or even an offer, materialises remains to be seen. However, a Gunners forward line adding a player capable of producing a 31 g/a season from out-wide is certainly a tantalising prospect heading into the 2022/23 season.
