Arsenal have made an enquiry for West Ham and England winger Jarrod Bowen, according to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs.
Previously, there had been reports that Arsenal had met with Bowen’s camp, as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
The Gunners have now reportedly made contact with West Ham.

The Hammers, however, are not looking to sell Bowen, so it would be very challenging for the Gunners to wrap up a deal before the transfer window ends.
“With Bowen, West Ham’s stance remains that they really don’t want to sell,” Jacobs explained.
“So there’s a lot of clubs circling over Bowen, but the challenge, much like Declan Rice, is persuading West Ham to sell during this window and West Ham remain pretty intent not to let him go.
“So, there’s lots of excitement about Bowen moving potentially to a club like Arsenal, but it’s all hypothetical at the moment, because West Ham don’t want to sell.

“Arsenal have definitely made an enquiry around Bowen to see what the situation is, but that’s what they’ve been told.”
There is talk that West Ham would expect at least £75 million for a transfer to be considered after his stellar season last year.
The side reached the Europa League semi-final, after Bowen scored twice in the quarter-final against Lyon.
Bowen joined West Ham in January 2020, for a fee of around £25 million.

Since then, he has proved to be a great buy for David Moyes’ side, scoring 17 goals and assisting 13 in 80 games.
He also featured 4 times under Gareth Southgate for England last season.
Arsenal have already had a busy, but successful summer with the signings of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos, but they still want to strengthen.
They missed out on signing Brazilian winger Raphinha from Leeds already this summer, and they haven’t been able to add another winger since.

Bowen could prove to be a great option for Arteta, as like Raphinha, he is known for playing on the right wing throughout his career.
On the right, Arsenal currently have Bukayo Saka, who played every game last season, as well as Nicolas Pepe. On the left, it's just Gabriel Martinelli.
An addition of Bowen could see Saka move over to the left to allow Bowen to become the starting right winger.
Arsenal will have a lot to do over the next few weeks if they want any chance of bringing over the Hammers' key man, which would mean paying a huge fee.

The Gunners kick off the Premier League season in just 7 days’ time away to Crystal Palace, and will be hoping most transfer business is sorted out before then.
