Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory over West Ham on Sunday afternoon, which will have fans, like Piers Morgan, believing the Gunners have now won the Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta’s side have now moved five points clear of title rivals Manchester City with just two fixtures left in the campaign; Pep Guardiola’s side have three matches to play.
The Gunners almost threw away the three points by conceding an equaliser in stoppage time, but this would be ruled out by the referee, Chris Kavanagh.
David Raya was deemed to have been fouled in the penalty area as West Ham attempted to score from the corner after the referee was told to review his decision to award the goal by VAR.

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was not pleased about the decision to disallow the goal as his side are battling hard against relegation, and now they remain in the drop zone a point behind Tottenham Hotspur.
The main issue for Santo is the inconsistency regarding blocking and tussling in the penalty area from set pieces, something Arsenal have profited from at times this campaign under Arteta.
While West Ham may feel aggrieved about the decision, Arsenal supporters will not care, as they are a step closer to their first Premier League title in 22 years, and one famous fan, Morgan, has had his say on the situation.
Morgan took to social media and said: “Not his best game tactically (the Rice to RB decision was bonkers and threw us off for 25 mins), but his biggest and most important win as Arsenal manager. This was the day @m8arteta almost certainly won us our first League title in 22 years. So happy for him.”
Arsenal still have two games to play, a home fixture against Burnley before they host Crystal Palace on the final day of the season, and they may need to collect maximum points to win the title.
While it looks like a given on paper, nothing is a certainty in football, and so this claim that Arsenal have ‘won’ the Premier League title after this victory over West Ham is a bit bold from Morgan.
