Paris Saint-Gremain were open to selling defender Thilo Kehrer to Chelsea but the Blues have no interest in a deal, according to reports.
Thomas Tuchel has been on the hunt for players at both ends of the pitch to help rebuild his side following the loss of multiple key players this summer transfer window.
Romelu Lukaku returned on loan to Inter Milan following an extremely underwhelming first season at Stamford Bridge after his £97.5 million move.
The Blues have also been weakened at the back, with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen moving on free transfers to Spain.

On top of this, Chelsea could still be facing further losses as both Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta have been strongly linked to Barcelona and Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner are rumoured with transfers away from the club.
In an attempt to patch up the holes so far this window the Blues have acquired both Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly
However, more additions need to be made should Chelsea want to secure a top four spot let alone challenging for the title.
This was made evident in the Blues embarrassing 4-0 defeat to round off their pre-season tour in the United States to Arsenal.
It was a thumping, the west London side were convincingly beaten by their rivals, and with the season getting closer it was a worrying display.
After the match, Tuchel declared: “I can not guarantee (we will be ready for the first day of the season). I saw today a team in Arsenal who are mentally committed to an idea of playing, a level of exhaustion, a level of physical commitment that we could not match.”
The game was a concerning one, and it has recently been revealed that Tuchel is keen to bring in four more signings.
The Blues have targeted the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Nathan Ake and of course Jules Kounde, but now Chelsea are monitoring other options.
As per Christian Falk, Chelsea were offered the opportunity to sign Kehrer by PSG, but they had no interest in him.
Last year the German centre-back made 27 appearances for the French side in Ligue 1 but his performances clearly have not been enough to tempt the Blues.

In fact they might be after a different PSG centre-back, Chelsea have been linked with Presnel Kimpembe who could reunite with his former boss Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.
The latest reports suggest that PSG are expected to lower their valuation of the defender, maybe leaving the door open.
Elsewhere Tuchel’s side have been reported to be weighing up a move for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana and potentially could be eyeing up Milan Skriniar of Inter.
It remains to be seen as to who the Blues will target in the summer window, with the Premier League season rapidly approaching.
