Raphinha 'Considering Personal Terms Offer' To Join Chelsea After £55 Million Bid Agreed

Raphinha 'Considering Personal Terms Offer' To Join Chelsea After £55 Million Bid Agreed

Chelsea’s contract offer to Raphinha is the highest of all clubs so far.

Chelsea’s contract offer to Leeds United star Raphinha is the highest of all clubs so far, according to reports.

The 25-year-old looks destined for a move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Thomas Tuchel’s side entered talks with Leeds over Raphinha and are ready to meet their valuation for the 25-year-old this summer.

There was much competition for his signature, with it previously reported that the Brazilian is set to reject both Arsenal and Tottenham in favour of a switch to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are now in negotiations with Raphinha’s agent, former Blues midfielder Deco, over terms and a move.

And as reported by Gianluigi Longari, Chelsea have now offered personal terms.

These are said to be higher than all other proposals received so far, and an agreement is expected.

The Blues’ offer is said to be £6 million as he closes in on a transfer to Stamford Bridge, as confirmed by Nizaar Kinsella.

The journalist states that the £55 million has been agreed ahead of the move, with personal terms the only obstacle.

Raphinha’s signing is set to be the first of the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital era as the Chelsea rebuild gets underway.

There could be up to six new signings this summer, with the Blues ready to submit an offer to Manchester City for Raheem Sterling in the coming days.

Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner have all been linked with moves away this summer as Tuchel looks to rebuild his attack ahead of the new season.

Speaking on recruitment this summer, a senior source told The Telegraph: "The key is to basically work with Tuchel to come up with the best players that are available.

"We really want to make sure we have a good defence. We've got depth in midfield. We're not desperate for an out-and-out striker.

“Fortunately, there's reasonable opportunities in the market right now in order to satisfy the fans' desire to be competitive.

"I think it's a combination of moves and there's five or six that we're going to look to make.”

It remains to be seen as to who will join Raphinha at Chelsea this summer, with the Blues thought to be targeting at least two central defenders.

With Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen departing on free transfers, Tuchel is keen to target replacements.

Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt has been identified as the priority target for Tuchel in defence this summer, overtaking Jules Kounde after long-term interest in the French international.

Manchester City’s Nathan Ake has also been discussed and could return to London after spells with Bournemouth and the Citizen’s.

Tuchel will be hoping to move quickly ahead of the new season as he looks to compete at the top of the Premier League.
