Thomas Tuchel's Gabriel Jesus Stance Revealed After Blues Offered Man City Star

Thomas Tuchel's Gabriel Jesus Stance Revealed After Blues Offered Man City Star

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel's stance on signing Man City forward Gabriel Jesus has been revealed as the forward is offered to the Blues.

Thomas Tuchel’s stance on working with Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has been revealed as the Chelsea boss plans his summer rebuild.

Jesus looks increasingly like leaving Pep Guardiola’s side this summer, with Stamford Bridge a potential destination.

According to Christian Falk, Tuchel would like to work with the Brazilian as he plans for the future at Chelsea.

The 25-year-old has reportedly been offered to the Blues this summer as Tuchel could look to bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge following Man City’s signing of Erling Haaland.

Arsenal have also been heavily linked with a move for the attacker, with Alexandre Lacazette completing his return to Lyon in Ligue 1.

However, it is believed that Chelsea may hold an advantage over their London rivals due to the fact that the Blues can offer Champions League football next season.

Romelu Lukaku is likely to depart this summer with the club in talks with Inter Milan over a loan deal which would see the Belgium international depart just one season after arriving at Stamford Bridge for a club-record £97.5m.

Therefore, Chelsea are in the market for a replacement upfront and it is believed that they will be searching for for a ‘specialist’ if Lukaku departs this summer.

Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski had been strongly linked but played down rumours of a move to Chelsea, admitting that he would only consider joining Barcelona.

He confirmed: "No other offers were even considered by me other than that of Barcelona. I want to leave Bayern, that’s clear.

"It's time for a new stage for me. I hope the fans will understand. I would get the chance to take on a new challenge at another club for a few more years. That's my wish."

Jesus could be seen as an alternative, with Tuchel keen to work with him. However, other options are also being considered.

Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona and RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku have been mentioned as potential targets for Tuchel’s side, with the German previously working with the pair at Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.

Jesus’ teammate at City, Raheem Sterling, has also been linked with a move as he could look to stay in the Premier League.

The pair have just one year remaining on their contracts at the Etihad and Chelsea could look to take advantage of their lack of gametime this season and swoop for a double signing this summer.
