Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has been offered to Chelsea amid links with him and a transfer to Arsenal, according to reports.
Jesus is set to leave the Etihad Stadium in the summer transfer window having spent five-and-a-half seasons at the club, with the Brazilian recently collecting another Premier League winners’ medal.
The forward has netted 95 goals in all competitions for City during his time in the north of England, as well as providing 46 assists.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old, with Alexandre Lacazette recently completing his return to Lyon in Ligue 1 after five years in north London.
However The Telegraph are reporting that the striker has been offered to Chelsea amid a potential transfer this summer.
With Erling Haaland joining City from Borussia Dortmund this summer, Jesus is expected to depart the club in the coming weeks.
There is also belief that he wants to remain in the Premier League, hence the links with Chelsea and the Gunners.
Recent reports revealed that the Blues are considering whether or not to make a move for him, with Romelu Lukaku speculated to be returning to Inter Milan on a loan deal after just one season back at Stamford Bridge.
Jesus is just one of a number of attacking targets that are being linked with moves to Chelsea, with reinforcements set to come in during the window.
Raheem Sterling, also of City, is one of those who could make the switch to the reigning World Champions, with the winger having just one year left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona and RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku have also been mentioned as potential targets for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Chelsea are believed to be ‘keeping tabs’ on 22-year-old Rafael Leao, who has recently won the Serie A title with AC Milan and been named as the league’s ‘Most Valuable Player’.
They are also set to welcome back Armando Broja from his loan spell at Southampton, with the Albanian striker impressing for the Saints in his debut season in the Premier League.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Chelsea could be preparing for a busy few months in terms of recruitment for next season, especially if they are looking to compete against City and Liverpool for the title.
It will also be the first window for the club’s new owners, with Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s recent estimated £4.25bn takeover signalling the start of a new era at the club.
