Graham Potter's side are looking to put an end to a poor run of form after losses to Arsenal and Manchester City over the past week.

It will not be an easy task, however, with Eddie Howe's Newcastle in fine form in the Premier League.

The Magpies sit in the top four, with Chelsea looking to close the gap to the Champions League places.

Speaking ahead of the match, Potter heaped praise on Howe's side, saying: "I think there is more to come from the team we have and the group we have.

"We've had some key players out: Kante, Chilwell, James, Fofana.

"They are key players and a couple of them are replacing key ones who left in the summer.

"I think we can do better than we have and that is where my focus is on."

The Blues will be hoping to put an end to a run of four Premier League games without a win.

However, it will be a tough task as St James' Park has always been a tricky venue for Chelsea.

With the last matches before the World Cup being played this weekend, Potter's side cannot make it into the top four with a win but will be keen to take three points into the break.

And he has chosen the team he believes can do this.

Here is the all important team news ahead of the clash:
