Confirmed: Chelsea to face Manchester City in Carabao Cup third round

Chelsea will face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup third round, it has been confirmed.

Thomas Tuchel's side will travel to the Etihad to face Pep Guardiola's side as they eye going one step better than the 2021/22 season.

Chelsea went all the way to the final at Wembley last season but lost 11-10 on penalties to Liverpool as Kepa Arrizabalaga missed the decisive kick in the capital.

Now they begin their campaign with a trip to Manchester which will take place on the week commencing of November 7th 2022.

There are a whole host of all-Premier League ties and Chelsea will fancy their chances of going the distance if they can knock out one of the tournament's favourites early on.
