Denis Zakaria has joined the Blues on Deadline Day.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Denis Zakaria on a season-long loan from Juventus, it has been confirmed.

The midfielder has put pen to paper on a deal at the Blues on Deadline Day, as Thomas Tuchel's side look to compete on various fronts once again this season.

Zakaria has joined Chelsea on loan for the season and his new side will cover all of his salary, with a £30 million option to buy being included in the deal.

Should he sign permanently, the Swiss international would join on a potential five-year contract.

The 25-year-old follows a number of new signings at Chelsea this summer, with Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella all arriving earlier in the window.

Wesley Fofana joined the Blues on Wednesday afternoon from Leicester City, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made the move from Barcelona in a deal that saw Marcos Alonso go the other way after six seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel's side have also made a number of youthful signings as the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka, Gabriel Slonina and Cesare Casadei all made the switch to west London.

"He will add depth and range to our squad this season, and we are looking forward to watching him play in Chelsea blue."

Co-controlling owners, Behdad Eghbali and José E. Feliciano concluded: "Denis brings top-level and international experience, and his mix of tenacity and great distribution will be assets to our team.

"We’re happy to have him with us and welcome him to London."

He concludes Chelsea's incomings for the summer of 2022 which has seen the Blues spent in excess of £250 million to back Thomas Tuchel.
