WWE legend Edge has reportedly signed a three-year deal with WWE worth 'significant money' following his shocking Royal Rumble return last night.

Edge was forced into retirement in 2011, but he entered last night's Royal Rumble at number 21 to the delight of fans across the world.

And in more good news, it seems the Canada native will be sticking around.

Wrestlevotes have tweeted that the 46-year-old has signed a new deal with Vince McMahon's company and that he'll be earning 'significant money'.

It's huge news for the world of wrestling considering the way his retirement went down.

The 'Rated-R Superstar' was forced to retire the night after Wrestlemania 27 and relinquish his World Heavyweight Championship following a series of neck injuries.

He got physical for the first time since retirement at Summerslam in August, when he used his signature spear on Elias.

Rumours swirled that the 11 time world champion had been medically cleared for a ring return, but Edge himself repeatedly shut down those claims on social media.

But he made a triumphant return in Houston, Texas last night to announce his comeback.

Edge ran wild in the Rumble, eliminating three men including AJ Styles and former 'Rated RKO' tag team partner Randy Orton.

He was eventually eliminated by Roman Reigns.

It will be interesting to see if Edge will appear on Raw or Smackdown with Wrestlemania just around the corner.

Last night's Rumble saw the birth of a new superstar in Drew McIntyre.

The Scotsman entered at number 16 and lasted over 30 minutes en route to victory.

He eliminated WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins and finally Reigns to secure his ticket to Wrestlemania.

Charlotte Flair won her first Women's Royal Rumble to set up a potential match with long-time rival Becky Lynch.

Who do you think Edge will have his first one on one match back with?
