WWE fans furious with latest release of wrestler who nobody expected to be let go

The wrestler has taken to social media to announce he has been let go by the WWE.

A wrestler has confirmed he has been released by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and fans have expressed their dismay at the news.

R-Truth has previously performed in the ring under the names K-Kwik and Ron 'The Truth' Killings during his time with both the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and the WWE.

The 53-year-old has held a host of belts during his time with the WWF and the WWE, including the WWF Hardcore Championship on two occasions.

He has also held the WWE United States Championship twice and held the WWE 24/7 Championship on 54 occasions, as well as the WWE Tag Team Championship once with Kofi Kingston and another time with The Miz.

However, R-Truth has taken to social media to confirm that he has been released from the WWE as he provided an update to wrestling fans.

He wrote: "I'm sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE.

"I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride.

"Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you."

In what we now know was his final match in the WWE, he was defeated by JC Mateo on an episode of SmackDown towards the end of last month on May 28.
