John Cena delivered a final message directly to the camera before retiring from WWE.
On Saturday night, all eyes were on the Capital One Arena in Washington DC as Cena's WWE career came to a close against Gunther.
To the surprise of almost every fan inside the arena, Cena fell to a defeat as he tapped out for the first time in over two decades, ending his career with a defeat.
Gunther has now spoiled two retirements in 2025, having also beaten Bill Goldberg in his last match earlier in the year.

During the aftermath of Cena's match with Gunther, tribute was paid to the 48-year-old.
And prior to exiting the arena for the final time, Cena delivered one last message to his fans.
Staring down the camera, he said: "It's been a pleasure serving you all these years, thank you."
Cena then walked out of the arena, and the camera faded to black.
Taking to social media, Cena's former rival, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, also paid tribute.
He wrote: "John, the time has come. We have spilled blood, torn tendons and broken records.
"The thing I love most is that you’re a good human being. Go have f***ing fun. You are the GOAT."
Cena ends his career in WWE having won the world title on 17 occasions, breaking Ric Flair's historic record at WrestleMania 41 this year.
He is also a Grand Slam Winner, having achieved this last month by winning the Intercontinental Championship.
In addition, Cena won the 30-man Royal Rumble twice, in 2008 and 2013, and he will forever be remembered as one of the GOATs of WWE.

Speaking ringside, an emotional Cody Rhodes paid a heartfelt tribute to Cena.
He said: "It’s just it’s everything, I’m so happy that it happened, it’s a great, great arena with great wrestling history and I’m so sad it happened too.
"Triple H had called me and asked me if I would be part of Saturday Night’s Main Event. And always wrestlers act like that’s oh, that’s such a big ask. Are you kidding? To be part of John Cena’s final show, to be able to bask in this glory and this house."
