WWE fans all raised the same concern in the seconds after what happened seconds into Brock Lesnar's shock return to WWE at SummerSlam.

Lesnar made his WWE comeback following the main event of night two, which saw Cody Rhodes defeat John Cena in a Street Fight to win the WWE Universal Championship.

He walked to the ring and hit Cena with his F-5 finishing move, before making a swift exit.

The 48-year-old hadn't been seen in WWE since the 2023 edition of SummerSlam, when he lost to Rhodes.

Lesnar was pulled from programming after he was implicated, and would later be named, in Janel Grant's sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE. He is not a defendant in the case.

Speaking after SummerSlam, WWE chief content officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque addressed his return to the company but did not reference the ongoing lawsuit.

Aside from those matters, there was a second moment that fans spotted while watching the SummerSlam coverage that they took issue with.

They were concerned that Lesnar's pyro went into the crowd after being set off during his entrance.

One fan claimed: "Brock's pyro def hit someone in the crowd."

And a second noted, alongside a clip of the incident: "Did anyone else notice this pyro hit the crowd?"

A third added: "Hopefully Lesnar's pyro didn't hit anyone. There was a rogue shot."

What have WWE said about Brock Lesnar?

During Lesnar's two-year absence from the company, WWE officials have rarely mentioned 'The Beast Incarnate' on live television.

References towards Lesnar have been made, however, particularly in recent months, and footage of his previous matches have been occasionally uploaded to the WWE's YouTube channel.

He has also remained part of WWE's active roster on their official website.

Triple H repeatedly moved to confirm that Lesnar had not departed the company during his absence, and spoke on-air about the former 10-time world champion following SummerSlam night two.

He said: "My reaction was exactly what I thought it was gonna be, which was, if there had been a roof on this place, it wouldn't be here anymore.

"The dynamic in the room in WWE changes when The Beast is here. Seeing Brock Lesnar come back, anything that you thought was happening sort of all goes out the window because the factor of Brock now just changes that dynamic so incredibly."
