Former WWE star CJ Perry has claimed Brock Lesnar will return next year after he appeared to announce his retirement at Wrestlemania last weekend.
Lesnar placed his gloves and boots in the middle of the ring on Sunday, following his match-up with the up-and-coming Oba Femi in Las Vegas.
Speaking after the event, WWE's chief content officer Triple H confirmed that "it seemed that way" when asked if the former UFC was hanging up his gloves for good.
However, according to Fightful, this seismic departure came as a complete surprise to WWE officials, who were expecting Lesnar to confirm his retirement in his hometown of Minneapolis at SummerSlam in August.

Fans online have theorised that Lesnar used a secret WWE signal to show he was going off script after the match, but CJ Perry isn't convinced we've seen the last of the superstar.
āI think thatās where we all anticipated he was going to retire, right?" She told TMZ.
"It sounds a little bit very predictable for him to do that in Minnesota, so, I did really enjoy the surprise, but at the same time, it is a little hard for me to ever believe someone is fully leaving forever because John Cena was hosting WrestleMania, and he did a whole year-long tour of farewell.

"And I understand it wasnāt a wrestling match, but itās like heās already back,ā Perry added.
The former AEW star predicted that the 49-year-old will make a swift return, claiming he will be offered a price he simply won't be able to turn down.
āI predict that Brock Lesnar will be fighting in Saudi Arabia next year. I think a prince or a Saudi prince or king is going to demand to have Brock, and theyāll pay him like 20-50 million, and he will show up," she continued.
"Thatās my prediction, but weāll see."
Despite Triple H seeming to confirm Lesnar's farewell, Paul Heyman played this down, saying he expects āAnother 15 years of dominance by Brock Lesnar,ā when asked about what the future holds.
