WrestleMania 39 Night 1 recap: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens become undisputed WWE tag team champions

WWE's biggest show of the year did not disappoint as WrestleMania night one at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California delivered and then some.
Over 80,000 fans tuned in to see all the action unfold, with the highlight being Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens ending The Usos' record-breaking 622 day tag team title reign in a historic main event.
Elsewhere Rey Mysterio beat his son Dominik, Seth Rollins bested Logan Paul despite interference from KSI and Rhea Ripley knocked off Charlotte Flair to become Smackdown women's champion.

The Usos vs Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the undisputed tag team championship main events WrestleMania 39 night one.
The hottest storyline in wrestling saw long time pals and sometimes rivals Zayn and Owens try and capture the tag titles in a cracker of a tag team main event.
The bout kept going on and on as the fans lapped it up, with both teams leaving it all in the ring.
It was near fall after near fall but Zayn and Owens sent the place into raptures when the former Bloodline member pinned Jey Uso after THREE Helluva kicks.

Absolutely incredible scenes to close out a phenomenal night one. The fireworks went off and we now have new tag team champs,
Pat McAfee beat the Miz is an impromptu WrestleMania match.
Snoop Dogg somehow got the power to make the bout happen and it was the returning McAfee who emerged victorious for the second consecutive WrestleMania.

Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley slugged it out in a classic contest for the Smackdown women's championship.
The rematch from a couple of years back is an even contest, with both giving absolutely everything in order to have their hand raised when all is said and done.
It's been a hugely physical encounter, full of brutal blows, strikes, counters and ridiculous kick-outs.

Charlotte somehow survived the Riptide before Ripley kicked out of an insane bit of offence from the 14-time champion.
Then, the roof truly came off the SoFi Stadium when a super Riptide saw her get the three count and become the new champ.

Rey Mysterio had an incredible entrance featuring Snoop Dogg and an Eddie Guerrero tribute.
Fresh from his WWE Hall of Fame induction, Mysterio rolled up with Snoop as Ain't Nuthin But A G Thang blared out.
The pair were in Eddie Guerrero's legendary lowrider and it quickly turned into a tribute to Rey's late best friend before he made his entrance down the ramp to face his son Dominik.
This has been one of the best built storylines in the history of WWE and the fans are desperate for Dom to get his comeuppance at the hands of his father.

And that is exactly what happened. There were loads of shenanigans involving the Mysterio family, Judgement Day and Latino World Order before Bad Bunny stopped Dominik from using a chain.

Rey hit the 619 and Frog Splash for the win and celebrated with his wife and daughter. What a match.
Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus pick up the win in match four.
An enjoyable six man tag team match and it's the trio of legends who emerge victorious after a huge Man-Handle slam on Bayley from the top rope. The crowd were well into it.

Logan Paul vs Seth Rollins did not disappoint as KSI has just been put through a table while dressed as a giant bottle of Prime.
It's Paul's first ever singles match at WrestleMania and The Maverick made quite the entrance.
He came in on a zip line from the rafters before dancing with a huge bottle of Prime as he made his way down to the ring.
It's easy to see why Paul is a viral phenomenon with these kind of moves. Rollins' entrance wasn't too shabby either though and the 70,000 fans erupted in chorus of his theme song.
The two traded offence in a brilliant back and forth encounter but then KSI, Paul's business partner, revealed himself to be in the energy drink outfit and ended up getting put through a table when Paul went for a Frog Splash but there was nobody home.

Rollins would go on to pick up the win with his trusty stomp finishing move.
WrestleMania showcase tag team match was off the charts!
Aerial exploits all over the place in the second match of the night. Chad Gable and Ivar both missed their manoeuvres from the top rope before the Monster Braun Strowman performed a ridiculous splash.
Ricochet and Montez Ford also flew around before the latter picked up the win for the Street Profits.
This bout was fast, furious and had the fans chanting 'This is Awesome! All of these superstars put on a show on the grandest stage of them all.
Austin Theory retained his United States championship to kick off WrestleMania.
Theory went low when the referee was down and put his childhood hero John Cena away for a three count.
Cena had actually submitted the prodigy but the official did not see it.
A career high victory for the United States champion, who was loudly booed by the fans in attendance in Los Angeles.
