Manchester United are taking on Omonia for the second time in eight days in the Europa League as match week four gets underway.

Manchester United currently sit second in Group E, behind Real Sociedad, and will be looking to go joint-top on points, depending on Sociedad's result against Sheriff Tiraspol.

Due to the loss in match week one, Manchester United will not be able to get ahead of Real Sociedad if the sides are level on points unless they better Sociedad's 1-0 victory during game week five.

It's incredibly important that United finish first in the group, as only those who finish first in each group automatically qualify for the competition's round of 16.

On the importance of qualifying first, Erik ten Hag said in his pre-match press conference: "I told the players weeks ago, before the break, it was important to win the group.

"We want to win all the games, but it's clear, we want to avoid that (finishing second in Group E)."

He also spoke at length about the situation surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo, saying: "I want to support him [Ronaldo] as good as possible.

"We have certain demands from players, what we expect in certain positions. I want to get the best out of him, he's in better shape now and I'm happy with that."

Ten Hag continued to speak about why Ronaldo has not started many of the Red Devils' matches so far, citing fitness as the key reason.

"At the start, it [a lack of fitness] was the case," he said. "It's proven once again [that] no one can miss a pre-season."
