Revealed: When Manchester United Will Announce Erik Ten Hag's First Signing

Manchester United supporters will finally see a new player in their squad soon.

Manchester United's confirmation of the Tyrell Malacia signing will be the first of the Erik ten Hag era and the announcement is due soon.

It was just last week where the Reds hijacked a move for the young full-back, after it seemed like he would be on his way to Lyon.

United wanted a player to challenge Luke Shaw for the left-back position.

Alex Telles was bought from FC Porto two seasons ago, but has failed to show enough quality on the pitch during his time in England.

The 22-year-old from the Netherlands is a bright defender who can now give that competition to the Englishman.

After making a Twitter account on Friday, Malacia posted a video of him working hard in the gym ahead of his United move.

After Fabrizio Romano revealed that the player would fly to Manchester on Sunday, Simon Stone has added when the confirmation of the signing will be.

The BBC reporter said that the deal for Malacia will be complete on Monday.

That is four days before the squad jet off on their pre-season tour, which the Dutchman will be on.

An image online has also appeared of Ali Drusen, he agent of both Frenkie de Jong and Malacia, at Carrington.

Erik ten Hag will be keen to work with the player who played for his arch rivals when he managed Ajax.

He was a much admired talent of the Dutch manager while in the Eredivisie.

Nicknamed as the 'Pitbull', Malacia will provide a physical and energetic presence on the left side.

Alongside the full-back, Ten Hag is looking towards bringing more signings into Old Trafford.

Frenkie de Jong is his primary target, the saga for that transfer is slowly progressing into the closing stages.

Barcelona's president did come out on Saturday and claim that he's doing "everything" to keep the midfielder at the Nou Camp.

He added that the club are looking for a solution to his high wage issues.

Although, reports from Fabrizio Romano confirm that the deal is still definitely on, and a salary reduction at the Spanish club is a highly unlikely option.
