Cristiano Ronaldo's Private Jet Lands In Madrid Amidst Manchester United Exit Rumours

Cristiano Ronaldo's Private Jet Lands In Madrid Amidst Manchester United Exit Rumours

United fans will be hoping that he wasn't on the jet...

Cristiano Ronaldo's private jet has landed in Madrid, with the player yet to return to Manchester United pre-season training.

After reports emerged saying that the 37-year-old wanted to leave the Old Trafford club, Ronaldo remained in Portugal while United's pre-season commenced.

The entire squad reunited for the first time on Monday, with the international players joining the group that had already worked under new manager Erik ten Hag for a week.

While the Portuguese striker did not return, it is not believed to be because of his request to leave the club.

It is instead reported that the player is yet to return for personal reasons and he had remained in his home country.

Reports have suggested that Ronaldo is unwilling to play in the Europa League with United next season.

He also is yet to see significant investment in the team that finished sixth in the Premier League last season. United did announce the signing of Tyrell Malacia on Tuesday.

It has also been said that the striker is upset with the wage deduction that he received, alongside all of the squad, when United failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Wednesday evening has seen reports come out that the private jet of the player has flew from Lisbon to Madrid.

However, it is unconfirmed whether the player was on the flight, with it being said that there was no movement outside of his hotel in the morning.

Ronaldo's time at Real Madrid was incredible, with the player lifting the Champions League four times with the Spanish club.

He left United for Madrid in 2009, a year after he won his first Ballon d'Or.

It is unknown whether or not Carlo Ancelotti's side are an option for the player if he leaves United for a second time.

He has already been offered to English rivals Chelsea and Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich by his agent.

United's stance remains clear, that they want to keep Ronaldo for another season.

The player remarkably re-joined the Reds last summer, but it could be a bitter end to his second stint in Manchester.

He scored 18 goals in the league last term and was rewarded with the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for the season.
