The 15 Greatest MMA Fighters In The World Right Now Have Been Ranked

The undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov has beaten Jon Jones to be crowned the best MMA fighter in the world right now.

The 31-year-old Russian star faces his toughest test next month when he defends the lightweight championship against Tony Ferguson at UFC 249.

Khabib, who has won 28 professional MMA fights, is currently second on the UFC pound-for-pound rankings behind Jones.

But on this occasion, Business Insider has put the 'Eagle' ahead of UFC legend Jones in the rankings for the world's best.

The publication pointed to Khabib's incredible MMA record, saying the minor blip in his career is dropping one round to fierce rival Conor McGregor in their 2018 blockbuster fight.

The publication said there was a time when 'Bones' was on a "killer run," but they argued that the UFC light heavyweight champ hasn't "looked like the old Jones for a very long time."

Business Insider added: "Though his standards appear to have slipped, Jones remains a light heavyweight champion with the UFC and continues to collect wins."
