Throwback: Conor McGregor Destroys Mayweather At Press Conference

THIS STORY WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED ON 13TH JULY, 2017

If the war of words between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather was being scored then the boxer came away with round one in his favour. Tonight McGregor took round two to level things up.

We wrote about what Conor McGregor said several times after last night's first meeting between himself and Mayweather but the truth was the MMA fighter didn't 'win' the first face-to-face.

Sure the Irishman landed the big blows but he didn't do enough, Mayweather on the other hand was busy on the inside and grinding out a victory- it was the American down to a t!

Night one went off without too much incident but it was definitely a 10-9 round to Floyd! Image: PA

The man with the 49-0 record had the advantage of going second though. The 'Notorious' started quiet but 'Money' showed that's not how he wanted to play it.

On night two of the world tour to publicise the fight though McGregor got his chance to come out all guns blazing and once he'd mentioned strippers, Mayweather's well known inability to read and told Showtime to 'fuck off' he might as well have dropped the mic!

He's on form from one hour 43 minutes in, it's so good!

Social media definitely felt it was a great comeback from the UFC's lightweight world champion tonight:

We were treated to some marvellous entertainment tonight and there's still two to go!

Our cards read 19-19 after the first two rounds, who will take the last two?
