UFC have released never-before-seen footage of Conor McGregor reacting to the infamous UFC 229 post-fight brawl with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor will make his anticipated Octagon return on Saturday when he faces Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.

And in the build-up to his comeback fight, UFC have shared new footage of McGregor backstage after the mayhem following his submission defeat to Nurmagomedov in October 2018.

'UFC 246 Countdown' features Nurmagomedov tapping out McGregor then launching himself into his opponent's corner and the brawl itself before moving onto rare clips of the Irishman.

The footage shows a dejected McGregor being led away by security. He then puts his head in hands before being consoled by a teammate in his dressing room.

Nearly 15 months on, McGregor returns to action as he takes on 'Cowboy' in Las Vegas, but 'The Notorious' has set his sights on a rematch with his bitter rival.

"I'd love that one, that's got to happen, got to happen. It must happen," he said about Nurmagomedov.

"I went out in Moscow, that was amazing. Russia is a great place. That man can run but he cannot hide from it.

"It wasn't just said, there were actions. It wasn't just words. But I'm taking a step back from that.

"It's a very skilful bout, he poses a specific style set. I pose a specific style set," he added.

"It's a very interesting clash with two fully focused fighters and that's what will happen in the next bout. I look forward to it and settling it

"It is what it is, it's the fight business at the end of the day. It went the way it went. That's it. Fear, it's fear. He doesn't want it."

The welterweight bout between McGregor and Cerrone headlines UFC 246.
