UFC 244 Results: Jorge Masvidal Beats Nate Diaz In Epic War To Win BMF Title

Jorge Masvidal is the baddest motherf**ker in the game after beating Nate Diaz in an epic three-round war at UFC 244.

Masvidal defeated Diaz by TKO (doctor stoppage) to become the UFC's first ever BMF champion at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City.


In round one, Masvidal picked Diaz apart, dropping him with an elbow and head-kick combination, opening up a cut above Diaz's eye. But Stockton's own fired back with a huge shot before the end of the round.

Masvidal continued his relentless approach in the second round, dropping Diaz again before earning a takedown where he rained down punches.

Masvidal and Diaz traded wild shots in the third round with the East Coast gangster landing a brutal kick to his body before earning top position on the ground.

The BMF contest was then halted in between round three and four after the cageside doctor ruled Diaz unfit to fight having suffered two nasty cuts.

Masvidal, meanwhile, extends his winning streak to three consecutive victories following knockout wins over Darren Till and Ben Askren.

He now boasts Diaz's name on his record. An incredible performance by the Miami fighter, who improved his overall MMA record to 35-13 with the win.

"I told Nate right now, I swear that we're running it back," Masvidal said to Joe Rogan after having the BMF title wrapped around his waist by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. "Let's run it back. I don't like to leave the ring like this with my opponent conscious. There's only one way to do it and that's to baptize them. I didn't get to baptize Nate.

"We're going to run it back. Don't worry, its's going to happen again."

Diaz is also keen to run it back. "I didn't think they were going to stop it," he said afterwards. "I was just getting ready to get started.

"He got the job done like he was supposed to so right on to Jorge for what he did. But I'm coming back for your ass, motherf*cker. Let me heal up and let's go again."
