Jorge Masvidal Teases UFC Super-Fight: "A Hundred Percent" Interested
UFC star Jorge Masvidal says he's interested in a potential super-fight with lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The BMF champion was supposed to face Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title next month at UFC 251.
However, the 35-year-old was unable to strike a deal with Dana White with the promotion eventually booking Usman vs. Gilbert Burns.
It now appears the Miami slugger is eyeing another UFC title in the shape of the 155lbs strap which is in the hands of Nurmagomedov.
Masvidal, who hasn't fought at lightweight since April 2015, says he'd go back down to face the undefeated Russian fighter if the UFC pay him what he's worth.
Jorge Masvidal says he respects Khabib Nurmagomedov and would fight him at lightweight "if they pay me what I'm worth."

"If they pay me what I'm worth? To go down to 155 [lbs]? A hundred percent," he said.
"I like what Khabib does. I like that he's in the field. He's one of the best lightweights at the weight currently. Just that obstacle alone would be enough for me to consider dropping that weight. But then, the UFC would have to be working for it."
Khabib Nurmagomedov's annual earnings are a third LESS than Conor McGregor's, according to Forbes. https://t.co/JCfNWMqYkd pic.twitter.com/vWN7pXWZ7X

Masvidal hasn't fought since his stoppage victory over Nate Diaz at UFC 244 last November.
He's currently involved in a pay dispute with the UFC as he still awaits his first assignment of 2020.
Nurmagomedov, on the other hand, was scheduled to take on Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 but the coronavirus crisis prevented the bout from happening.
He's now set to defend his UFC lightweight title against interim champion Justin Gaethje in September.
But could 'The Eagle' welcome 'Gamebred' back to the lightweight division later in the year or in 2021? Watch this space.
