And he plans on testing the free-agent market amid interest from Dana White.
If he does switch to the UFC, Chandler wants to face the best and it appears he's eyeing a clash with Poirier.
On Twitter, he uploaded a GIF of a diamond accompanied with the words: "Man...the public wants it if it happens...."
'The Diamond' also posted a cryptic message on social media: "There will be blood."
Chandler aside, he could also be hinting at a fight against Tony Ferguson.
Poirier last fought in June when he outpointed Dan Hooker in a 'Fight of the Year' contender.

Could he be matched with Chandler? Well, White is keen on meeting the free-agent.
When asked if the UFC were interesting in signing Chandler, he replied: "I would love to meet with him.
"Yeah. The guy's earned it, man. I would love to meet with him."
Speaking after beating Henderson at Bellator 243, the Florida-based fighter talked up a fight against Conor McGregor.

"As far as that fight goes, I finish Conor in under two [rounds]. Shades of [Nate] Diaz 1, hit him with hard shots, take every single one of his.
"He's got that sneaky strong, thick left hand he throws and it's straight. Avoid that, wear him down a little bit, make him see Jesus, put him out."
