Jorge Masvidal has detailed exactly what plans to do to Kamaru Usman at UFC 251 and it's pretty chilling stuff.

After taking the fight on six days' notice, the BMF champion is vying to become welterweight champion in the first ever event on 'Fight Island'.

And while the 35-year old always talks about being all about business, there is a genuine animosity between the pair and that will make a victory that much sweeter for Masvidal.

In fact, 'Gamebred' is out to hurt Usman to the point that he's willing to throw "a little bit more than the super necessary punches" and get a few extra punches in if the ref trips while trying to stop him.

"Like I said in the Askren fight, before and after, it's never personal - it's always business," Masvidal told MMA Fighting during the UFC 251 virtual media day.

"It's just people that I probably didn't get along too well with, but Usman for a fact has crossed lines that no other competitor that I've fought have talked about.

"He's talking about my ethnicity, whether I'm this or that. He's telling people I'm saying I'm god. You can't find the video or a Twitter thing or nothing ever saying that I said I'm god. So this guy's just doing a lot of things that are going to cause him to get hurt in a very violent way.

"If the referee trips on the way to stopping me and I get to get a couple extra, extra punches, I wouldn't mind.

"They're going to be a little bit more than the super necessary punches. It's going to be something a little special. I'm going to have to go into my fast-forward speed and truly send this guy to another planet."

Evidence of the mutual dislike from both Usman and Masvidal came when they had to be pulled apart after they got into a heated altercation in Miami as part of a Super Bowl event in January.

In a video of the incident that immediately started doing the rounds, Usman could be heard calling for Masvidal to do something but the BMF champ said he 'won't take advantage' of Usman's arm being in a cast.

The two fighters came close to running into one another in the UFC hotel lobby when they narrowly missed out on an awkward encounter as Masvidal walked into one lift while Usman came out of the other.

They will, however, lay it all on the line inside the Octagon on Saturday in what promises to an incredible fight.
