Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal came incredibly close to encountering one another in a Las Vegas hotel ahead of their UFC 251 main event.
The two have been quarantining in the same hotel in Nevada before they jet out to Abu Dhabi for their welterweight title showdown on Fight Island after it was made official.
But while they will have been separated, the UFC 251 'Embedded' vlog shows just home close the pair were from crossing paths.

As seen around six minutes into the video on UFC's YouTube channel, Masvidal heads into one lift just seconds before Usman walks out of the other.
You also see referee Herb Dean go into the elevator that Usman had just been in.

It's probably for the best that the two didn't run into one another given what happened the last time they were in the same vicinity. At a Super Bowl media event in January, the pair had to pulled apart when they got into a heated altercation in Miami.
In a video of the incident that immediately started doing the rounds, Usman could be heard calling for Masvidal to do something but the BMF champ said he 'won't take advantage' of Usman's arm being in a cast.
There's serious animosity between both fighters and after all the back and forth on social media, they will now do battle inside the Octagon as the headline fight on Saturday.
