Dana White says he is still in discussions with Floyd Mayweather about the pair working together again.

The UFC president crossed paths with the undefeated boxing superstar in 2017 as part of his superfight with Conor McGregor.

According to ESPN, the partnership between the UFC and Mayweather Promotions brought incredible commercial success - generating more than $600 million in total revenue and 4.3 million domestic pay-per-view buys for the Las Vegas bout.

Other than an exhibition fight in Japan that made him some very easy money, Mayweather hasn't been back in the ring since.

He made a handshake deal with White while they were sat courtside watching the LA Clippers in 2019 and the initial plan was for the 50-0 fighter to be back in the ring by autumn time.

The COVID-19 pandemic has ended any chance of that happening but the 51-year old remains confident that both he and 'Money' will do business together in the future.

"Floyd and I still have dialogue and go back and forth," White told TMZ Sports.

"We're still interested on both sides."

White would later confirm in a livestream with Yahoo Sports that any arrangement would involve Mayweather competing as opposed to just promoting.

He did also state that Mayweather is interested in running it back with McGregor, though White again reiterated that 'The Notorious' fighter is "retired" at this moment in time.

"I know (Mayweather) would rematch Conor McGregor, but I don't know if you've heard about this but Conor McGregor's retired," White added.

"When I'm doing things right now, running the business, I don't even think about Conor. Conor is retired until Conor tells me differently, I'm not trying to make any fights for Conor."

"Per my contract with fighters, I owe them three fights a year. If I do not deliver three fights a year, I have to pay them their money. Conor McGregor is retired."
