Dana White once claimed that UFC legend Ronda Rousey could cause serious problems for Floyd Mayweather in a fight -- but swiftly ruled out her chances in a boxing match.

The UFC president, 50, recalled a story of how the 33-year-old former MMA superstar beat up two massive men at a movie theatre so badly that they filed charges against her.

During the same 2014 interview with EsNews, White touched on the idea of the 'Baddest Woman on the Planet' clashing with the undefeated Mayweather in a fight.

According to the UFC chief, Rousey wouldn't stand a chance against the 43-year-old American inside the squared circle.

But White insisted that Rousey, who moved to WWE after her career in MMA, could stand a chance in a street fight or inside the octagon.

"In a boxing match, Floyd beats her all day long," he explained.

"In a street fight or in the octagon, she hurts him bad.

"[Points at random guys] She'd take this whole line out."

Boxing legend Mike Tyson, who has had a heated rivalry with Mayweather, was even asked about the debate in 2015.

Filipino star Manny Pacquiao previously claimed that Rousey would beat his fierce rival in a fight, and the 53-year-old Tyson suggested that he wouldn't stand a chance against her.

"S**t, Ronda Rousey might kick my a*s," he told HuffPost at the time.

"That 14 seconds [in] the last fight [against Cat Zingano] -- s**t, man, you got to take that seriously.

"She's marketed herself, and not necessarily from a publicist's perspective.

"She put in the work, too.

"She's putting these people to bed, she's tapping them out, she's doing the 14-second thing."

Mayweather retired from boxing after he chalked up his 50th victory against MMA superstar Conor McGregor in a blockbuster bout in 2017.

Meanwhile, Rousey has been on hiatus from WWE since she lost the Raw Women's Championship in the all-women's main event at WrestleMania 35 against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

But wrestling legend and NXT founder Triple H has said that he expects Rousey to return to WWE at some point.
