Ex-UFC superstar Ronda Rousey had no hesitation in ruling out an intergender fight and suggested it would send out a "bad image."

The 32-year-old became the first female fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame and is widely regarded as a pioneer for women in combat sports.

But Rousey's dominance in women's MMA at one point had fans mulling over the idea of a man fighting against her.

During an interview with The Daily Beast, the UFC legend slammed the idea of a man beating up a woman on television.

"I don't think it's a great idea to have a man hitting a woman on television," she said.

"I'll never say that I'll lose, but you could have a girl getting totally beat up on TV by a guy -- which is a bad image to put across.

"With all the football [domestic violence] stuff that's been happening, not a good idea.

"It's fun to theorise about and talk about, but it's something that's much better in theory than fact."

Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao claimed in 2015 that Rousey could have beaten Floyd Mayweather in an MMA fight.

"[Can she beat him?] I believe so," he said. "She's strong. Strong enough to beat Floyd Mayweather in MMA."

When Rousey was asked in a Reddit 'AMA' if she could beat Mayweather in a no-holds-barred match, she claimed that she could "beat anyone on this planet."

UFC president Dana White said that Mayweather would have beaten the Hall of Famer in a boxing fight.

But he fully backed the 'Baddest Woman on the Planet' to 'hurt' the ex-boxing superstar in a street fight or in the octagon.

Rousey suffered devastating back-to-back defeats to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes before she left MMA.

The former UFC women's bantamweight champ went on to sign with WWE, but she has been on hiatus since WrestleMania 35 in April.

But ex-Raw women's champ Rousey has revealed that she is eyeing up her stunning WWE comeback.
