Jake Paul has interrupted an interview of Conor McGregor ally and MMA fighter Dillon Danis with a water balloon attack.

YouTuber Paul, who's trying to goad McGregor into meeting him in the boxing ring and has allegedly made a $50 million fight offer to the Irishman, posted a video of the street confrontation on Twitter.

"Caught the biggest s**t talker slacking @DillonDanis," wrote Jake. "You gotta check in when you come to LA. #GenerousDriveBy"

The video shows 2-0 Bellator fighter Danis, best known as a close member of McGregor's team, doing an interview in Los Angeles. That's until the younger Paul brother drives past and starts pelting him with water balloons.

"Hey look, it's Conor McGregor's bitch right there," shouts Paul. Before chucking further insults and water-filled plastic at Danis.

The MMA fighter is soon in hot pursuit and Danis actually does quite well to catch a balloon and throw it back - but Paul's driver is soon speeding him away to safety in the back of his truck.

Which lead many on social media to question why exactly Jake Paul was so keen to get away so fast from a man he was labelling a "p***y".

"You just ran away from him. Could have stopped the vehicle and talked to him face to face," points out one fight fan on Twitter.

"Wait you call him a bitch, he runs up to the truck but you do nothing and drive away," summarised another.

Paul has been linked to a fight with Danis in the past. But it seems he has his eyes set on a fight with UFC star McGregor in 2021 and is doing anything he can to get it - from crudely insulting the Irishman to taking shots at his fiance, Dee Devlin.

'The Notorious' returns to MMA action next month as he rematches Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 in January.

It remains to be seen whether Paul's antagonising - and water-ballooning - will have the desired effect of tempting McGregor to fight him. Or whether will Conor will continue to act like Jake Paul does not exist.
