Conor McGregor has received an offer to return to boxing from an undefeated UFC fighter that the company haven't dared to give him in the Octagon.
The Irishman hasn't fought in any capacity since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
Since then, all of McGregor's attempts to get back in the fight game have fallen through.
He pulled out of a clash with longtime foe Michael Chandler in 2024 due to a toe injury, while he recently completed an 18-month ban for missing drug tests.

Respected MMA journalist Ariel Helwani recently suggested McGregor will make his long-anticipated comeback against Max Holloway at UFC 329 as part of the promotion's annual International Fight Week.
However, another fighter has decided to throw his hat into the ring for a completely different kind of fight.
Current UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev has suggested that head honcho Dana White book him to take on McGregor in a lucrative boxing match on an upcoming Zuffa Boxing show. White launched his new venture last year and Chimaev, who is unbeaten in the UFC, wants a piece of McGregor.
"Zuffa boxing with Conor, maybe that one," he explained.
"Maybe if Zuffa gives the chance to box Conor and Conor accepts, that would be nice.
"Conor is one of the best boxers in the UFC. It would be nice to fight that guy and good money too."

What does Conor think about returning to boxing?
McGregor is no stranger to the boxing world. He challenged Floyd Mayweather back in 2017, losing to 'Money' in an interpromotional bout which smashed several financial records.
He's previously suggested that he'd like to run it back with Mayweather, although that looks more and more unlikely as time passes.
'The Notorious' appears to be laser-focused on returning to the UFC. His last victory came against Donald Cerrone in January 2020, over six years ago.
McGregor posted a message earlier this week to put the entire UFC on notice. Alongside images of himself training, McGregor declared: "Legs still sharper than a guillotine.
"Training with the young wolves, sharpening the blade.
"The return is coming whether they like it or not."
