Nick Kyrgios made a promise to Taylor Fritz after an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction at the US Open.
Fritz bowed out in the quarter-finals in New York, losing in four sets to the veteran Novak Djokovic. For the American, it continued his terrible form against the Serbian, having lost all 11 career matches against him.
But it was not just the result which was the source of embarrassment for Fritz in the Arthur Ashe Stadium, as he accidentally played with his headband on upside down. For Hugo Boss, who sponsor the number four seed, it would have been hugely frustrating to lose out on potential air time.
After the game, Fritz took to X to express his frustration at the wardrobe malfunction.

He wrote: "Yo why’d nobody tell me that s**t was backwards."
Krygios replied: "Still rocked it I can assure you bro haha if I was in the locker room I would of told you. I still owe you caretaker."
The 27-year-old is still chasing his first Grand Slam title, despite his position as the world number four. He came close last year at Flushing Meadows, reaching the final only to lose in straight sets to the imperious Jannik Sinner.

This year, Fritz again arrived to America in good form, following his run to the Wimbledon semi-finals, where he was defeated by the other dominant force in tennis, Carlos Alcaraz.
He played well during the first week of the US Open, before he became unstuck to a familiar face in Djokovic.
After falling two sets behind to the Serb, Fritz won the third set as Djokovic became frustrated with the partisan nature of the crowd.
But Fritz was unable to take the match to a deciding fifth set, with his serve letting him down as he double faulted after saving two match points.

Sinner is the strong favourite to win at Flushing Meadows and retain his crown.
The Italian is an excellent hard court player, having also won the last two Australian Open titles.

But Alcaraz was hugely impressive in his quarter-final victory over Jiri Lehecka, as he won in straight sets.
And the Spaniard will be eager for revenge following his defeat to the Italian in the Wimbledon final.
Djokovic is one of the game's greatest ever players and can never be written off.
Lorenzo Musetti is the other man remaining in the draw, but is unlikely to have enough in his quarter-final clash with Sinner.
