Serena Williams was called out by her sister Venus live on TV at the US Open.
On Monday, 45-year-old Venus continued her run at Flushing Meadows as she and doubles partner, Leylah Fernandez, advanced to the quarter finals.
The American-Canadian pair got the better of 12th seeds Ekaterina Alexandrova and Zhang Shuai by winning 6-3, 6-4.
As a result, Venus and Fernandez will now take on top seeds Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova in the last eight.

Venus saw her singles campaign end in the first round by Karolina Muchova, but she is looking to clinch doubles glory in the coming days.
Speaking on court after beating Alexandrova and Shuai, Venus spoke about her sister Serena, who opted to evolve away from tennis back in 2022.

During her interview, Venus called out Serena, she said: "I think she had a very funny Tik Tok. But really she's so happy for Leylah and I, and she's given us advice.

"We just need her in the box. So my message to Serena is: Serena, you need to show up." You can watch the footage below.
During her post-match press conference, Venus again touched on a possible appearance by Serena.

She added: "If she came, it would be a dream for both of us and we'd have her on the court coaching. We'd force her to hit, even though she doesn't hit often. It's probably best she doesn't come because we'd probably bully her.
"She's definitely coaching from afar. She's so excited. She gets so nervous watching, and she's got the kids watching, they're all at home, just really on our side. We've got, like, I don't know, three coaches now? Serena's on the coaching team?"
Venus is aiming to get to her first final at a Grand Slam since 2017, when she fell to a straight-sets defeat against Garbine Muguruza at Wimbledon.
Meanwhile, the Williams sisters won a total of 14 Grand Slam doubles titles during their careers and also won the gold medal in three editions of the Olympic Games.
