Legendary tennis star and pundit John McEnroe has revealed the three most talented players who've never won any of the sport's Grand Slam tournaments.
McEnroe is a former world number one and collected no fewer than seven majors during his career.
The 66-year-old won three Wimbledon titles and four US Open titles between 1979 and 1984, reaching the semi-final of the Australian Open and the final of the French Open in vain in 1984 and 1983 respectively.

He is also a ten-time major doubles champion between Wimbledon, the US Open and the French Open, but he's been around the sport long enough to know that even raw ability isn't always enough to build a career full of championship success.
Some extremely capable men's tennis players haven't won any of the majors and McEnroe told Eurosport which three players he considers the most talented to not have achieved Grand Slam honours.
"I can’t believe [Gael] Monfils is playing this well this late in his career," said McEnroe after one of the Frenchman's wins at this year's Australian Open.
"To me he’s one of the three most talented guys never to win a major.

"Monfils, [Nick] Kyrgios and [Alexander] Zverev to me are the three most and he’s played as if he believes he has a shot. I can’t believe he’s playing this well this late."
38-year-old Monfils was beaten in straight sets by Marton Fucsovics in the second round of this year's Wimbledon.
The former world number six made it as far as the semi-final of the French Open in 2008 and the US Open in 2016, running into Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic to end his championship hopes.

Notoriously divisive Kyrgios was beaten in four sets by Djokovic in the 2022 Wimbledon final after winning his only major semi-final as a single's player.
The Australian is currently ranked outside the top 600 in the world having battled with a series of injuries, including a devastating torn wrist ligament.
Former world number two Zverev has reached one final in each of the Australian, the French and the US.

He lost the 2024 French Open final to Carlos Alcaraz and the 2025 Australian Open final to Jannik Sinner, top-level opponents who will meet in Sunday's 2025 Wimbledon final, 41 years after McEnroe's third Wimbledon showpiece against compatriot Jimmy Connors.
