Tennis star Jannik Sinner was presented with an extravagant 'golden racket' which has a remarkable value after beating rival Carlos Alcaraz at the Six Kings Slam.

The top two players in men's tennis locked horns once again on court, this time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Sinner is world number two and has four Grand Slam titles to his name.

The 24-year-old Italian has claimed two Australian Open titles, the US Open and Wimbledon so far, while he has also reached the final of the French Open.

The only man ahead of Sinner in the world rankings is the current best player on the planet in the form of Spaniard Alcaraz.

Alcaraz has won six Grand Slam crowns so far in his tennis career having won the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open twice each.

The pair have met a total of 15 times in ATP and Grand Slam tournaments.

Sinner and Alcaraz have met in Grand Slam finals on three occasions in 2025, with Alcaraz winning the French Open and US Open, while Sinner triumphed at Wimbledon.

Away from the ATP tour, the pair have met twice in exhibition matches, both of which have come in the past two years at the Six Kings Slam tournament in Saudi Arabia.

In Riyadh, Sinner emerged victorious against Alcaraz in a straight sets 6-2, 6-4 victory in a match which lasted little over 70 minutes.

It was a repeat of last year's tournament, where Sinner came out on top, though on that occasion the Italian came from behind to defeat Alcaraz in three sets.

Cost of Sinner's staggering golden racket

By winning, Sinner took home a cool $6m in prize money - and it was not the only accolade the Italian received by emerging victorious.

Sinner was handed a solid gold tennis racket, which is one-of-a-kind piece and is valued at a remarkable $250,000.

Sinner was given the item by Saudi advisor Turki Alalshikh who organised the event.

According to BBC Sport, the Italian said: "I wish I could play like this everywhere.

"This season we played many, many times and I also lost many times to Carlos. It is a huge pleasure and honour to share the court with him.

"At the same time, you want to get better as a player and you need rivalries in the sport. So it's nice to have a great rivalry and more importantly a great friendship off the court.

"We have a very special friendship and it's very nice."

Alcaraz said: "When Jannik is playing at this level it is always difficult, today he was just too good.

"I always say when he plays such great tennis it gives me motivation to go to the practice court, give 100% and try to be better.

"Sometimes he is annoying, but he gives me extra motivation."
