Donald Trump's reaction to Carlos Alcaraz's victory over Jannik Sinner at the 2025 US Open final has quickly gone viral.
Trump's attendance at the final caused chaos inside and outside the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens.
The final was originally set for a 7pm start UK time, however, following issues getting fans into the stadium, the start time was pushed back.
The United States Tennis Association confirmed that because president Trump was in attendance, security measures had been ramped up, causing additional outside queues and long delays as a result.

When the final eventually got underway, it was Alcaraz who stole back the attention with a 3-1 win to get revenge following Sinner's victory at Wimbledon.
The Spaniard's victory secured his place as the new ATP world number one, displacing Sinner who had held the position for 15 months prior.
Similarly to the 2025 Club World Cup final which saw Chelsea emerge victorious, the cameras immediately panned to Trump once the result was final, and his reaction has confused many.

As the crowd roared in approval of Alcaraz's win, the US President looked far from impressed and footage showed the 79-year-old refusing to join the spectators with applause.
The clip has received over 1.5 million views on social media, with thousands of fans sharing their confusion over Trump's antics.
Alcaraz himself might have been expecting for the President's support after the 22-year-old publicly backed Trump's presence at the final.
"I think that it is a privilege for the tournaments having the president from every country just to support the tournament, to support tennis, and to support the match," he said before the match.

"For me, playing in front of him... I will try not to think about it. I don’t want myself to be nervous because of it, but I think attending the tennis match, it’s great for tennis to have the president at the final."

"Well, it's great when you achieve the goals you set up yourself at the beginning of the year. It feels amazing," the Spaniard explained.
"So, since I got the chance to recover the No. 1, it was one of the first goals that I had during the season just to try to recover the No. 1 as soon as possible or end the year as a No. 1.
He added: "This is everything I'm working for, and I'm really happy to be able to live these experiences."
