Wales are currently putting on a fine performance in their Six Nations clash with Italy as they lead at half-time 21-0.
Steve Tandy’s team have given the Italian side no time to breathe as their attack has been relentless while their defensive pressure has been incredible to watch.
Italy entered the game after a historic win over England last weekend and were looking to win three games in the Six Nations for the first time ever, but that task is looking tricky with only 40 minutes left to play in their campaign.
Wales have suffered in the Six Nations for the past three years, as they have not tasted victory in the competition since March 2023 when they beat the Azzurri.

However, it is looking likely they will end this run today against Italy due to the manner in which they are performing, which will please their fans.

On social media fans have been shocked by the incredible performance and have let their feelings be known about this changed Welsh team in terms of their ability on the ball.
One fan said: “This is the Wales we like to see.”
While another had a similar sentiment, as they said: “Where’s this team been?”
However, one English fan took a different approach to the first half between Wales and Italy, as his nation suffered an infamous defeat to the Azzurri last weekend.
They said: “Where was this Italy last week?”
Welsh fans will have seen this performance coming, though, as they impressed in the last two fixtures in the Six Nations despite the defeats to Scotland and Ireland, with Tandy’s team being desperately unlucky against Gregor Townsend’s side in round three.
Tandy’s team have slowly evolved throughout the competition and have looked more assured, and this has seemingly culminated against an Italian side that came into this game on a high following their win over England, and they may have yet to move past those celebrations.
One fan expressed their delight at the Welsh performance early on as they said: “Wales not here to roll over! Too many people wrote them off; they’ve been building nicely throughout this tournament. Could they break the losing streak here?!”
While another added: “Great first half from Wales. Solid forward play and moving well through the backs. They’ve been helped massively by silly penalties from Italy but have taken a vast step up. If Italy can cut out the pens, it could change the 2nd half.”
There are still 40 minutes to play, and after Scotland’s comeback against them earlier in the competition, Wales will not be counting their chickens just yet, but it looks likely they will secure a win.
Italy will be desperate to find a performance in the second half to end what has been a memorable campaign on a high, and in this year’s tournament you never know what may happen.
