NRL Round 18: The Stars Who Stood Up And Made Our Team Of The Week

NRL Round 18: The Stars Who Stood Up And Made Our Team Of The Week

We saw some top performances over the weekend, but who stood up the most to make our Round 18 Team of the Week?

We saw some top performances over the weekend, but who stood up the most to make our Round 18 Team of the Week?

 1. James Tedesco

Ran for just under 200m, scored a double and led his Roosters to a 28-point win – all while backing up from being NSW’s best last Wednesday night.

2. Alex Johnston

This guy just scores hat-tricks willy-nilly! Another impressive performance from the Bunnie's flyer.

3. Jesse Ramien

This guy has really stepped up since coming back from suspension a few weeks ago. Bagged himself another double and was a constant threat against the Cowboys.

4. Waqa Blake

Scored a double and put in a great performance for the Eels.

5. Maika Sivo

This Parramatta cult favourite was huge again on Friday night. A try, an assist, and running for 183m – the Fijian flyer was one of the Eels' best on ground.

6. Joey Manu

This guy is not a five-eighth – but on Saturday while wearing the number six jersey he did close to everything right. Two tries, two assists, recovered miraculously from injury and complimented Sam Walker in the halves beautifully.

7. Daly Cherry-Evans

Well and truly silencing his critics from earlier in the season, the Manly skipper put in another top captain’s knock, with a kicking game that continues to cause havoc for his opposition. Another one backing up from a massive Origin game.

8. James Fisher-Harris

With so many of his teammates out after Origin, JFH was enormous for Penrith. 38 tackles and scored the winning try in the dying minutes.

9. Reed Mahoney

Has been under the pump for some time, but really stepped up in Parramatta’s win against the Warriors. Had his hand in two tries and was great out of dummy half.

10. Joesph Tapine

Tapine the Machine! No wonder Raiders fans are so nervous about losing him, another great day out for the big front rower in his side’s win against the Storm.

11. Viliame Kikau

Another one who stood up in a heavily depleted Panthers side, showed beautiful skill to pick up a ball on the fly to score under the post.

12. Isaiah Papali’i

Crossed for a great four-pointer and was massive on the edge for the Eels. The Tigers must be busting to have him in their side.

13. Jason Taumalolo

The wrecking ball was on fire. Despite being on the losing side, JT13 had a huge game. And I would have awarded that try just on his stampede run to the line alone!

Who did you have in your team of the week?
