An Olympian has revealed the shocking things that athletes in the Olympic Village get up to, including one story of a 'whirlpool orgy'.
The 2026 Winter Olympics are set to begin this weekend, with the multi-sport event taking place from 6 to 22 February Lombardy and Northeast Italy.
Around 3,000 of the world's best athletes from 90 different nations will arrive in Italy ahead of the Games, with many of them staying in the now infamous Olympic village.
It's been well documented that when they're not preparing to compete in the Games, many of the Olympic athletes pass the time hooking up, with ex-US football star Hope Solo once explaining that there is a five-word phrase Olympians use to get lucky.

However, perhaps the most shocking story to come out of the Olympic village came from a skier who explained that a group of athletes participated in a 'whirpool orgy' during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.

Although some athletes vow to abstain from sex until their events are done so that they can purely focus on ensuring they perform to the best of their abilities.
Solo, who represented the United States at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, claimed that the Olympic Village can be a 'huge distraction' for athletes that don't have 'discipline'.
However, this is clearly not a concern for many living in the Olympic Village, with several crazy stories of what's been happening during the Olympics coming out regularly.
Speaking to ESPN, one skier revealed that while they were at the Vancouver Games in 2010, six athletes - 'some Germans, Canadians and Australians' - enjoyed themselves in a 'whirlpool orgy'.
"It was a late-night whirlpool party. It turned into a whirlpool orgy," the Olympian revealed.
Meanwhile US javelin thrower Breaux Greer, who competed in the 2000 Sydney Games, admitted that, despite failing to win a medal, he enjoyed himself by sleeping with three athletes every day.

Explaining why Olympians are so eager to sleep with each other during the Games, Carrie Sheinberg, an alpine skier at the 1994 Winter Games, described the Olympic Village to a 'magical, fairy-tale place, where everything is possible'
"You could win a gold medal and you can sleep with a really hot guy," she told ESPN.
"Maybe because they feel they never have to see each other again. It's also about finding something new. Olympians are adventurers.
"They look for a challenge, like having sex with someone who doesn't speak their language."
